5 tons of expired foodstuffs destroyed in Bayda

BAYDA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – The Industry and Trade Office in Bayda province has destroyed on Sunday five tons of expired foodstuffs and consumer items.

The director of the Industry and Trade Office in Bayda governorate, Ahmed Al-Tahiri, explained during the destruction process in the presence of representatives of a number of concerned authorities that the destruction was completed after completing all the procedures related to it.

Al-Tahiri pointed out that the field control teams seized during the past “November and December” 43 violations for damaged and expired foods.

Al-Tahiri called on citizens to cooperate with the bureau in reporting traders manipulating prices, monopolists of goods and involved in the sale of expired materials.
