SANAA, Dec. 27 (YPA) – Deputy Director of Moral Guidance Department in Sanaa, Brigadier General Abdullah bin Amer, revealed details about China’s response to Yemen decision to ban navigation on Israel ports.
He told Al Masirah TV that Chinese communication and a number of shipping companies agreed with Sanaa about the embargo in the Red Sea.
Brigadier General Bin Amer said that the Yemeni side during the past weeks thwarted the American attempts to pass some commercial ships, but it was surprised by the Yemeni side’s insistence on preventing these ships by sending repeated fiery warning messages, despite them being subject to military protection.
He added that the American side studied several options about dealing with Yemen’s decision regarding the Red Sea, of which was gathering convoys of commercial ships and surrounding them with British and American destroyers before they entered the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
Bin Amer stressed that the armed forces did not stop during the past days in imposing maritime navigation on Israel, but rather there were ongoing military operations and action at a high pace.
He pointed out that international trade continues until this moment in the Red Sea, and the American military presence is working to obstruct navigation in the Red Sea.
