MARIB, Dec. 26 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen blew up on Tuesday a crude oil pipeline connecting the Safir facility and the Jannah field east of the city of Marib, local source told Yemeni Press Agency.
The source declared that a large fire broke out in the pipeline that feeds the Safir facility with crude oil after it was targeted by armed elements.
The Safir region is witnessing great tension between tribes and forces loyal to Islah party after the coalition government announced a dose to raise the prices of locally produced fuel by 300 percent, which prompted the tribes of Marib to prevent the exit of oil and gas locomotives from the Safir facility for the seventh day in a row.
