Iran puts new cruise missiles, drones into naval service

TEHRAN, Dec. 24 (YPA) – Iran’s Navy said on Sunday it had strengthened its naval arsenal with Talaeieh and Nasir cruise missiles, drones, helicopters, and other new weapons.

Iran-based Mehr News Agency reported that the new achievements of the Naval Forces were revealed, in the presence of the Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Army, Major General Sayyed Abdolrahim Mousavi.

The naval forces were reinforced with the “Nasir cruise” missile system, the first “jungle” helicopter, the first intelligence helicopter, surface-to-surface missile systems, the “Jamaran destroyer for intelligent destruction.

Last week, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy, Ali Reza Tengsiri, announced that his forces had produced ships capable of carrying long-range missiles.

“The missiles that will be supplied to these ships soon are equipped with artificial intelligence and post-launch guidance technology,” he added.
