WHO: No hospitals work in north of Gaza Strip

GAZA, Dec. 21 (YPA) – The World Health Organization (who) confirmed on Thursday that northern Gaza has become completely without functioning hospitals, amid a shortage of fuel, medical staff and health supplies.

The WHO representative in Gaza, Richard Peppercorn, said that the Al-Ahli Hospital was the last to be able to operate, but it is now operating at a minimum.

Most of the hospitals in Gaza stopped working due to the Zionist aggression on the Strip, and the health services in northern Gaza were the most affected.

The Zionist enemy army besieged the hospital and arrested a number of doctors, nurses and the wounded, said its director, Fadl Naim.

“The hospital is out of service due to the storming by the forces of the Zionist enemy, and we cannot receive patients or injured, we have reports of dozens of wounded on the streets”, Naim explained.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that more than 800 thousand Palestinians in the northern areas of the Gaza Strip are deprived of medical services.
