Pro-UAE officer killed in Lahj

LAHJ, Dec. 16 (YPA) – An officer of the so-called UAE-backed Al-Amaliqa forces was killed on Saturday in Lahj province, south of Yemen.

Local sources affirmed that unidentified gunmen targeted Abdul Hakim Al-Hawshabi with three shots, while he was on the way to his home in the city of Sabar.

The sources pointed out that Al-Hawshabi is an officer in the 2nd Al-Amaliqa Division, led by Hamdi Shukri.

Al-Hawshabi was released after being previously kidnapped by the UAE-funded Security Belt militia in 2016.
