OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Dec. 16 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces raided Nablus city and Balata refugee camp (east of Nablus) in the West Bank at dawn, Palestinian media reported, citing sources.
According to Wafa News Agency, Israeli occupation forces stormed several areas in the occupied West Bank early Saturday. Palestinian resistance fighters confronted the Israeli incursions by engaging in gunfire and planting locally-made explosive devices.
The same sources added that the forces, accompanied by a military bulldozer, stormed the outskirts of Balata camp in conjunction with the storming of the city, besieged it from all sides, deployed snipers in the high buildings surrounding the camp, and raided and searched several houses.
The sources pointed out that an Israeli bulldozer smashed many vehicles near the new cemetery, before proceeding to destroy the infrastructure in the camp.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian news agency Safa reported that Israeli forces stormed the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
