Yemen imposes control over Red Sea: “Sputnik”

BEIRUT, Dec. 13 (YPA) – Yemen’s armed forces will not allow any ship passing into Israeli ports, from the Red Sea or the Arabian Sea, because they impose their control over all this maritime area.

Abdul Hafez Mojab, an expert on Yemeni affairs, told “Sputnik” radio, targeting of the Norwegian ship with missiles on Tuesday came after it ignored the calls by the Yemeni naval crew, which necessitated responding to it in a studied manner, stressing the ships heading to Israel were responded to change their way.

He recalled that “the Yemeni armed forces had previously clearly announced that they are in a state of war with Israel entity, and would not allow ships to pass into the ports of the entity, but some ships wanted to infringe on Yemeni sovereignty and its maritime calls, noting that all ships are being dealt with strictly in accordance with maritime laws.
