Hamas: Zionist aggression against Jenin is extension of aggression against Palestinian people

GAZA, Dec. 13 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has confirmed that the ongoing military operation in Jenin, conducted by the Zionist occupation army, is an extension of the comprehensive war waged by the fascist occupation government against Palestinians in all their locations.

In a statement issued Wednesday, Hamas stressed that this operation is “a desperate attempt to extinguish the flame of resistance that is spreading in the spirit of the heroic Palestinian people.”

Hamas stated that the ongoing crimes, violations, and targeting against Jenin and its camp will not effectively halt the rising resistance path.

“Our people in the steadfast West Bank affirmed their word and decision in confronting this fascist occupation and its terrorist settlers,” Hamas said.

The movement called on the masses of people in the West Bank to escalate resistance in all cities and villages until the occupation is defeated and expelled from Palestinian land and Islamic and Christian sanctities.

Armed clashes continued on Wednesday in a number of areas in the city of Jenin, its camp, and nearby towns, where the occupation forces were targeted with bullets, explosive devices, and bombs.

Violent confrontations and clashes broke out between the occupation forces and the resistance fighters, who responded to the occupation vehicles with homemade explosive devices and shooting live bullets.

The occupation’s aggression and terrorism against Jenin led to the martyrdom of seven Palestinian citizens, including a 13-year-old child who was shot by the occupation forces in the city and camp of Jenin, and four who were martyred by the occupation’s bombing of them in the Sibat area in the old city of Jenin.
