Israeli occupation army admits to launching attacks on Syrian army positions

WORLD, Dec. 13 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army admitted on Wednesday to launching attacks on several military sites belonging to the Syrian Arab Army, in a rare admission.

“A short while ago, in response to the launching operations towards Israel earlier today, IDF aircraft and tanks bombed some military sites and military infrastructure belonging to the Syrian army in Syrian territory,” the Israeli occupation army said in its statement:

Earlier, the Syrian army said that its air defenses shot down Israeli missiles fired at the vicinity of the capital, Damascus, from the occupied Golan Heights.

Some other missiles were not intercepted by its systems and caused some damage.

Israel has escalated its attacks on Syrian territory since Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on it on October 7. The border between Lebanon and the enemy entity also has been witnessing tension and intermittent exchanges of fire between the Israeli army and Hezbollah.
