US Congressman: Pentagon dragged the US into the conflict in Ukraine

WORLD, Dec. 13 (YPA) – US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said that the Pentagon is obsessed with foreign wars in contravention of its mission to prevent military conflicts, and as a result, Washington has become embroiled in the Ukraine conflict.

“The US Department of Defense is obsessed with foreign wars and cannot get enough of them. This is why the United States is at war in Ukraine, even though deterring wars is one of the Pentagon’s two main missions, along with protecting the country’s national security interests,” Greene said in a post on her X account.

“The warmongers in Washington do not want to seek peace with Russia.”

She noted that US authorities are interested in continuing the conflict in Ukraine and the confrontation with Russia.

“If Washington wants something, it’s to make sure this war continues. They want to fight with Putin for as long as possible. When we run out of people available for military service in Ukraine, the US authorities may want to send military-age men there because they want this war with Russia, “she elaborated.
