Russian FM: “Hamas attack on October 7 did not happen in a vacuum”

MOSCOW, Dec. 10 (YPA) – Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, affirmed on Sunday that the Hamas attack on “Israel” on October 7 did not happen in a vacuum.

“We have told Israel for years that the single most dangerous factor in the Middle East is the failure to resolve the status of a Palestinian state,” Lavrov said.

The Russian Foreign Minister stressed that “there must be international monitoring on the ground in Gaza.”

In this context, the office of Israeli entity’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Sunday that he had a long telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During a call with Putin, Netanyahu expressed his dissatisfaction with the anti-Israel positions expressed by Russian delegates to the United Nations and other forums.
