SHABWA, Dec. 01 (YPA) – Governor of Shabwa, Awad al-Awlaqi, called on all Yemeni people to unite their efforts to continue the liberation from the new colonizers of the southern region, who are implementing the agenda of the Zionist entity to control Yemen’s land.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), Governor al-Awlaqi emphasized that Independence Day (November 30th) is a Yemeni epic that embodies the pride of Yemenis and their rejection of occupation, guardianship, and all forms of subjugation.
He pointed out that celebrating the anniversary of the departure of the last British soldier from the southern Yemen on November 30th carries a revolutionary symbolism that remains alive and a goal of struggle that all free people have come together to achieve, which is to attain glorious independence, expel the occupation through the power of arms and the sacrifices of the fighters.
Governor al-Awlaqi said that the Yemeni people, through their great revolutions, have provided a lesson to all nations aspiring for freedom, stating that there is no salvation for peoples except by moving against the oppressors and the corrupt.
He noted that this great anniversary coincides with the most honorable battle led by the Yemeni people against the US-Saudi-UAE aggression and its mercenaries. At the same time, they are also engaged in the battle for dignity to defend the occupied land of Palestine, which represents the central issue for the Arab and Islamic nation.
