President al-Mashat calls for coalition to engage in confidence-building measures

SANAA, Nov. 29 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa Mahdi al-Mashat, called on the Saudi-led coalition leadership to engage practically in confidence-building measures, especially in the humanitarian and economic aspects.

In a speech made on Wednesday on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the 30th of November, Al-Mashat said: “We have come an important way on the path to peace and there is no longer any justification for not engaging practically in confidence-building measures, warning against listening to war merchants.”

He also called for scheduling executive steps and starting to address the prisoners’ file and lifting restrictions on Yemeni ports and airports.

Mr. President stressed the importance of taking practical steps to make arrangements for withdrawal from Yemen’s lands and waters as soon as possible, affirming that Sanaa’s openness to all approaches aimed at addressing the effects of the aggression.
