HADRAMOUT, Nov. 18 (YPA) – The UAE has restricted the movements of tribal sheikhs loyal to Saudi Arabia in the Hadramout valley districts, eastern Yemen, and has exerted pressure through various charges against them.
The head of the so-called “Hadramout Tribes Alliance—President of the Hadramout Inclusive Conference,” loyal to Saudi Arabia, Amr bin Habrish Al-Ali, in a statement issued on Saturday, called on the “Leadership Council,” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, to form an impartial team to investigate the arrest warrant issued by the “Hadramout Appeals Prosecution,” which accuses him of disturbing social peace and incitement to security in the governorate.
The statement published by Bin Habrish on his account on the “X” platform stated that the arrest warrant issued by the prosecution was an attack, a disparagement, and an intentional targeting of his person.
Bin Habrish stated that “his conviction, movements, and deeds are known and announced among the people of Hadramout and Yemen in general and at the level of the countries of the region.”
The statement indicated that bin Habrish, who holds the position of “First Undersecretary of Hadramout Province,” avoided clashes and provoking conflict within the province.
It is worth mentioning that Sheikh Bin Habrish, who is close to the military leader of the Islah Party, “Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar,” is considered one of the tribal figures that thwarted the UAE factions’ control over the districts of Hadramout Valley.
