Egypt apologizes for receiving Iranian aid to Gaza

CAIRO, Nov. 13 (YPA) – Egypt has apologized for receiving any Iranian humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip by Rafah crossing, due to the Zionist occupation’s refusal to allow it to enter the Strip.

According to political sources to Al-Mayadeen TV, the Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, in his meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, repeated Iran’s request to send aid to the Gaza Strip, during their meeting on the sidelines of the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, on Saturday.

Last week, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Pir Hossein Kolivand, expressed Iran’s readiness to send humanitarian assistance and relief shipments to Egypt to help the residents of the Strip.

Kolivand went on to communicate with the CEO of the Egyptian Red Crescent, Rami Jameel Al Nadher, indicating the need to continue in the support of the oppressed people of Gaza, adding Iran’s readiness to send also the necessary fuel to Gaza via Egypt.
