GAZA, Nov. 11 (YPA) – The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that Al-Quds Hospital in the Gaza Strip may cease operations in the next three hours due to depletion of fuel stocks.
“Al-Quds Hospital may be closed in the next 3 hours due to fuel supplies running out and aid not arriving. 500 patients and injured will be deprived of medical care. Those in intensive care and babies in incubators will die” – Palestine Red Crescent Society said in a post on social media X.
Previously, the Red Crescent reported that Israeli soldiers opened fire on the intensive care unit of the Jerusalem Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
For his part, Mohammed Zaqout, director-general of Gaza hospitals, said they were facing a “catastrophic situation” without electricity, water or food.
“We are unable to provide services to the wounded and the hospitals are continuously bombed by Israel,” Zaqout said.
Tens of thousands of displaced people sheltering in the hospitals are at risk, who are exposed to aerial bombardment and direct artillery fire,” he added
The World Health Organization also announced that the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip (al-Shifa) was bombed on Friday, and that 20 hospitals in Gaza are now out of service.
