WORLD, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The United Nations General Assembly on Friday adopted a resolution calling for an “immediate, durable and sustained humanitarian truce” in Gaza.
The Jordanian-proposed resolution was adopted by the General Assembly, with 120 votes in favor, 14 against and 45 abstentions. The resolution had the backing of more than 40 Member States.
The resolution called for an “immediate, durable and sustained humanitarian truce”, and demanded all parties comply with international humanitarian law and “continuous, sufficient and unhindered” provision of essential supplies and services into the Gaza Strip.
