Death toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip rises to 5,087 Palestinians

GAZA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – The death toll from Israeli enemy aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has risen to 5,087 Palestinians.

This was stated by the spokesman for the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, Ashraf Al-Qudra, on Monday during a press conference.

Al-Qudra confirmed that among the martyrs were 2,055 children and 1,119 women. He reported that the number of injured people in Gaza reached 15,273 Palestinians with various injuries.

He added, “The Israeli enemy committed 23 massacres in the past 24 hours, claiming the lives of 436 martyrs, including 182 children, the majority of whom were from the south of the Gaza Strip.”

Al-Qudra explained that the ministry received “1,500 reports of missing persons still under the rubble, including 830 children.”

He revealed that medical teams are facing severe burn injuries and skin melting, which have never been seen before on the bodies of wounded people and are difficult to deal with.

Al-Qudra called on international institutions to reveal the nature of the weapon used to melt the skin of the wounded and to urgently provide the necessary treatments for them. He also appealed to the International Committee of the Red Cross to quickly provide blood units from outside the Gaza Strip.

He also urged citizens to immediately go to hospitals and blood bank branches to donate blood.

For the 17th day in a row, the Gaza Strip, which has been besieged since 2006, has been subjected to intense Zionist air strikes that destroyed entire neighborhoods as the Israeli occupation army launched a military operation called “Iron Swords” in response to the resistance’s launch of Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood.”
