SANAA, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Ministry of Fisheries in Sanaa warned ships and fishermen against sailing in areas affected by Tropical Storm “Tej” due to the high waves.
In a statement, the ministry issued instructions to workers in the field of marine fishing to avoid the dangers of the storm “Tej,” that the eastern and southeastern territorial waters of the Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden will witness this week.
These instructions aim to protect the lives of fishermen, give them a safe environment, and ensure their safety while facing harsh weather conditions.
The statement urged the fishermen to check weather forecasts and marine bulletins before going on a fishing trip.
It called on fishermen to carry reliable communication devices such as mobile phones or emergency signal transmitters to communicate in case of need, stressing the necessity of using safety and rescue equipment such as life jackets and safety belts.
The ministry called on all fishermen to follow instructions and adhere to local security guidelines to ensure their safety.
