Israeli gov’t refuses to receive female detainees freed from Gaza

GZAZ, Oct. 22 (YPA) – Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman Abu Ubaida said on Saturday that the Zionist enemy’s government refused to receive two female detainees in Gaza that the brigades decided to release for humanitarian reasons.

“We informed the Qatari brothers yesterday evening that we will release both of Nurit Yitzhak, ID No. 001145416, and Yochved Lifshitz, ID No. 005236955,for compelling humanitarian reasons and without compensation; However, the enemy government refused to receive them,” Abu Ubaida added in a statement, according to the Palestinian Information Center.

For his part, an official in charge of the prisoner file in Hamas movement told Al Jazeera that the offer to release the two female prisoners came in accordance with the ethics of resistance.
“Civilians are not a negotiating card,” he added: They will be released when field conditions are available.”

The official pointed out that thousands of Palestinians be detained in Zionist prisons without charge or judgment issued against them.

Earlier, the Hamas movement confirmed that, in cooperation with Egypt and Qatar, a woman and her daughter, who hold American citizenship, were handed over.

“We will work with all mediators to implement the movement’s decision to close the civilian file if appropriate security and field conditions are available,” the movement said. We also hold the occupation responsible for their safety as a result of the ongoing fascist bombing of the Gaza Strip.”
