Nestlé announces suspending its factories inside Israel

Al-QUDS, Oct. 19 (YPA) – Nestlé announced on Thursday it “temporarily closed” one of its production factories inside the Israeli entity “as a precautionary measure, becoming the first giant consumer products company to take action related to “the conflict there.”

Several international companies temporarily suspended some of their operations in the occupied territories of Palestine, and asked their employees to work from home. This came after the Palestinian resistance launched the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation in response to the occupation’s ongoing violations against the Palestinians.

Other multinational packaged goods companies have so far remained silent about the conflict, although retail, healthcare and oil companies have been quick to express their positions.

The companies remained silent after criticism of the packaged goods sector for choosing to remain in Russia and continuing to sell “essential” products, such as diapers and baby formula, there.
