Security campaign launches in Aden against motorbikes owners

ADEN, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias gave motorbikes’ owners a deadline to leave Aden province, south of Yemen.

The STC said in a statement that the step came after it approved the Aden Security decision to ban motorcycles of all types within the province, starting October 22 when the campaign would be launched in all cities of Aden, with the participation of all security services.

The STC militias vowed to confiscate all motorbikes and hold violators accountable for implementing the decision.

Aden is witnessing continuous protests in rejection of the decision that will lead to thousands of families losing their only source of income in light of the living conditions experienced in the coalition-held city.
