SANAA, Oct. 04 (YPA) – Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in Sanaa announced on Wednesday that the so-called “Professional Unions Club” is an entity that violates the constitution and the applicable trade union laws.
The ministry said in a statement the club also breaches the Arab and international agreements regarding trade union freedoms and protecting the right to organize trade unions, which have been ratified by the Republic of Yemen.

According to the ministry’s statement, the club is not legally registered with the Ministry and is therefore illegal and has no right to issue any statement.
It held responsible those who issued a statement under the name of the aforementioned club
The statement affirmed that it would reserve the right to file a lawsuit against them to hold accountable and take legal measures to punish them for this action that violates the constitution, the applicable trade union laws, as well as the Arab and international agreements and charters that Yemen has ratified.
