SANAA, Oct. 04 (YPA) – The Philippine authorities announced that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter Scale hit on Wednesday the north of the country.
The Philippine State News Agency quoted the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology as saying that the earthquake occurred in the town of Kalayan in Cagayan province.
The earthquake, whose epicenter was 22 kilometers northwest of Dalupiri island, hit the area around 11.35 am local time (03:35 T.G) and there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
