Hadramout witnesses preparations to raise flags of its separation from Yemen

HADRAMOUT, Oct. 03 (YPA) – Hadramout province is to be expected to witness preparations by forces loyal to Saudi Arabia to raise flags of its secession from Yemen.

Media sources reported on Tuesday that the Saudi ambassador to the coalition-backed government, Mohammed Al Jaber, informed the Hadrami forces loyal to it that the seventh of next October would be the date for the secession of the province.

He claimed that this date was approved by Saudi Arabia as a national day for Hadramout and an announcement of its separation from the rest of the Yemeni provinces.

Saudi Arabia had gathered the so-called “Hadramaut National Council” in Riyadh to place the oil province in southeastern Yemen under its guardianship, despite popular rejection and disagreements with the UAE regarding the division of loyalties between the two allies.
