US forces carry out suspicious training operations on Saudi border with Yemen

SANAA, Oct. 02 (YPA) –  American Special Forces are conducting combat training near the Yemeni-Saudi border, reliable sources have told “Yemen Press Agency”.

The sources said that Saudi Arabia brought in a number of American special forces officers to train armed groups from the so-called “Dera Al-Watan” factions that Saudi Arabia established from extremist “Salafist” groups in the Sharorah area of Najran region on the border with Yemen.

The American forces are training these groups, some of which are believed to belong to terrorist groups, on storming, clashes, and sniping operations, the sources added.

According to the sources, the training process came after Saudi Arabia expelled approximately 600 Yemeni recruits who were part of the so-called “Special Task Forces” camp in Al-Wadiah border area.

It is worth noting that American forces are deployed openly in a number of districts of Hadramout province, eastern Yemen.

Last February, the US Department of Defense admitted that it owns two “CIA” military bases, one of which is located in the city of Mukalla, the center of Hadramout province, without revealing the other base location, according to what the Saudi “Al-Hadath” TV Channel reported, citing its sources in the Pentagon.

American forces are present in Mahra, the gas export facility in Balhaf port in Shabwa, located on the Arabian Sea in eastern Yemen; Al-Anad base north of the city of Aden; and Ma’ashiq Palace, which is headquartered by the “Leadership Council” and the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, as well as a number of Yemeni islands.
