Medical conference recommends establishment of national center for treatment of burn patients

SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Participants in the first scientific humanitarian conference on burn surgery, which concluded Friday in Sanaa, recommended the need to establish a national center for the treatment of burn patients.

The participants in the conference, which was organized by Al-Jumhouri General Hospital Authority, said that the National Center must have modern international specifications and equipment through which the center will be able to receive all cases and disasters of burns.

The conference’s recommendations called for the establishment of a special fund for the treatment of burn patients, as most patients are poor and low-income groups, in light of the high costs of treating burns.

In its recommendations, the conference called on charitable institutions and businessmen to contribute effectively to the establishment of a specialized center for the treatment and rehabilitation of burn patients in order to achieve better results .

The recommendations also called on official and private bodies to support the rehabilitation of a cadre specialized in the treatment of burn patients of all kinds,

They stressed the importance of scientific and academic communication and the continuation of scientific research.

The participants called for activating the media role in spreading awareness on the treatment of burns cases to ensure that awareness reaches all segments of society.

In two days, the conference discussed scientific and humanitarian working papers to establish a national center specialized in burn surgery, and the relationship of medical specialties such as cosmetology, ophthalmology, brain and nerves and other specialties to burns.
