SANAA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – The official spokesman for Southern Revolutionary Movement, Dr. Muhammad al-Numani, said that the UAE’s Southern Transitional Council (STC) faces a major and serious trouble with the international community.
In a post on his X account, Al-Numani affirmed that the STC failed to obtain UN support to represent the southern cause alone in any upcoming consultations and negotiations to achieve peace in Yemen.
“There are moves in the UN Security Council to open the file of foreign mercenary participation in fighting in Africa, Ukraine, Sudan and Libya,” he said
“The STC fell into trouble because of sending a number of its members as mercenaries to fight in Libya, Sudan and Ukraine under the directives of the UAE, he said, adding that “the UN Security Council will hold a special session on crimes committed by foreign mercenaries, including “Yemenis” loyal to the STC in those countries”.
“A number of mercenaries of the “STC” had been arrested in those countries. They also were subjected to investigation in the intelligence prisons of Libya and Sudan on charges of participating in the fighting, committing crimes against humanity and looting the homes of citizens,” he explained without disclosing the number of detainees.
