Gunmen attack STC military vehicle in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 28 (YPA) – Gunmen believed to belong to Al-Qaeda organization attacked a military vehicle of the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions in Abyan province, southern Yemen, on Thursday.

According to local sources, the gunmen detonated an explosive device in one of the STC factions’ military vehicles on the main road in front of “Qarn Amaram” village, east of Modiya district.

The explosion did not cause any casualties among the STC elements, the sources added.
