Intensive meetings in Sanaa to identify competent government portfolio candidates

SANAA, Sept. 28 (YPA) – The capital, Sanaa, has been witnessing intensive meetings to announce the formation of competencies government, media outlets reported on Thursday.

According to the media outlets, the meetings are discussing a list of candidates to fill ministerial portfolio positions in the government, and the nominated names are being studied to determine their conformity with the criteria set for that purpose.

The discussions extended to reducing a number of ministerial portfolios, and some ministerial portfolios were initially named while leaving the door open and subjecting them to competition from nomination lists, according to media sources.

The sources indicated that attention is focused on appointing competencies to manage the economic sector and providing facilities to create a productivity boom that contributes to creating job opportunities.

The National Defense Council in Sanaa had announced the dismissal of the government of Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor and assigned it as a caretaker government until the formation of the government of competencies that was announced by the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, in a speech on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday yesterday, Wednesday.
