SANAA, Sept. 20 (YPA) – Ahmed Al-Moa’yad, a political analyst based in the British capital, London, has confirmed that the Sanaa negotiating delegation did not give Saudi Arabia the opportunity to transform the negotiations round brokered by the Sultanate of Oman in Riyadh from “equality to subordination.”
Al-Moa’yad said in a post on the “X” platform, monitored by the “Yemeni Press Agency,” on Tuesday, “The national delegation returned to consult with its leadership and did not give its opponent the opportunity to score a point by saying that the signing was in Riyadh.”
He added that the Sanaa delegation went to Riyadh in its official uniform, carrying big goals as large as the nation, to meet its Saudi counterpart as “an equal opponent.”
Al-Moa’yad continued, saying, “If there are agreements signed, this will be done on neutral ground.”
He pointed out that the Saudi Foreign Ministry’s statement revealed the Saudi regime’s intentions from the first moment, “so it was necessary to be careful and scrutinize the smallest details.”
