Lahj witnesses angry protests against continued detention of teachers

LAHJ, Sept. 19 (YPA) –  Angry protests continued on Tuesday over the continued detention of teachers by the Saudi-led coalition factions in Lahj province, southern Yemen.

According to local sources, the people of Al-Maqatera District went out in angry protests, demanding the release of the detained teachers.

In early August, forces of the 4th Mountain Infantry Brigade in Tor Al-Baha, which is affiliated with the Islah Party, arrested 25 teachers without charge, causing most of the region’s schools to close due to the absence of teaching staff.
