LAHJ, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Angry protests rally was staged on Monday in Lahj province, south of Yemen, to demand the release of teachers kidnapped by the coalition-backed armed factions.
Local sources said that hundreds of residents of Al-Maqtara district called on the coalition to free 25 teachers were kidnapped by the forces of the pro-Islah Fourth Jabali Infantry Brigade.
The protesters raised banners denouncing the violations of the Islah forces against the teachers and citizens, who were kidnapped from their homes and took to secret prisons on false charges.
Last week, the province witnessed the suspension of studies and the closure of schools in protest against the teachers, who have been detained by coalition factions for more than two months.
