LAHJ, Sept. 15 (YPA) – Clashes broke out between two tribal gunmen in Lahj province, southern Yemen, wounding four militants.
Local sources affirmed that the clashes erupted between militants of the Al-Shammaya tribe that the coalition-backed governor, Ahmed al-Turki, belongs to, and others from the Buraima tribes, in Rabat city in Tuban district.
The sources accused al-Turki of supporting members of his tribe against neighboring tribes, as well as exploiting his influence at the head of the local and security authority to humiliate the rest of the tribes in the province.
The confrontations erupted due to tribal vendettas among tribes.
