SANAA, Sept. 14 (YPA) – YouTube platform removed on Thursday the Yemeni Press Agency (YPA)’s channel, despite the YPAs commitment to impartiality in presenting events to the public, away from bias towards any party.
The YouTube administration gave flimsy justifications for removing the channel by saying that it “reviewed the channel’s content published since 2018,” which means that the channel was targeted retroactively since.
The Yemeni Press Agency confirmed its rejection of any pressure from any party, and renewed its commitment to presenting the truth and continuing to reveal events in Yemen in accordance with international standards for freedom of the press.
The agency expressed condemned the blackout process practiced by the YouTube platform regarding what is happening in Yemen, by harnessing the platform for its political goals to conspire against the truth.
