SANAA, Sept. 12 (YPA) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 on the Richter Scale struck off the coast of the Philippines, the Seismological Center for Europe and the Mediterranean reported.
A statement issued by the center said that “the earthquake occurred at 11:03 on Tuesday, agreed UTC, about 137 kilometers northeast of the city of Laoag”.
“The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of 31 kilometers”, the statement added.
There is no information at the moment about injuries or damage caused by the earthquake.
