Attorney General emphasizes need of speedy, effective criminal justice in accordance with law

SANAA Sept. 06 (YPA) – The Attorney General, Judge Dr. Muhammad Muhammad al-Dailami, stressed on Wednesday the importance of achieving criminal justice effectively and quickly in accordance with the provisions of the law.

This came during his chairing a meeting held in Sanaa to discuss aspects of cooperation and coordination between the judiciary, the Ministry of Interior, and the Security and Intelligence Service.

Judge Dr. Al-Dailami emphasized protecting rights and freedoms, prosecuting criminals and bringing them to justice, and strengthening partnership and cooperation with security services to reduce crime rates.

At the meeting, a number of cases and crimes related to security, stability, and public tranquility were reviewed, as were ways to solve the problems they face, especially with regard to the stages of control, gathering evidence, and legal adjustment.

The meeting came out with a number of recommendations aimed at enhancing coordination between the judicial and security agencies, holding workshops for justice agencies on cyber and electronic crimes, and preparing a matrix of legal amendments on penalties and procedures.
