Russian forces thwart Ukrainian drone attacks on Moscow

MOSCOW, Sept. 05 (YPA) – Russian forces on Tuesday morning had thwarted a new terrorist act attempted by the Kiev regime on the outskirts of Moscow, the country‘s defense ministry said in a statement.

The ministry said the air defense systems repelled the Kiev regime’s attempt to launch a new terrorist attack on Russian territory, using drones.

Meanwhile, the Russian capital’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the air defense systems destroyed three drones early Tuesday which were trying to reach Moscow.

Air defense forces “destroyed drones which were trying to carry out an attack on Moscow”, he said on Telegram.

Russia’s defense ministry said one was flying over the Kaluga region, southwest of Moscow, while a second was destroyed northwest of the capital above the Moscow region’s Istrinsky district.
