SANAA, Aug. 28 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology expected on Monday that the scattered showers would fall on various areas of Yemeni provinces.
The center said in its weather forecast that the rains may prevail over the Taiz, Ibb, Dhalea, Dhamar, Rayma, Sanaa, Amran, Mahweet, Hajjah province.
It indicated the sporadic rains, accompanied by thunderstorms, would fall also in parts of the provinces of Saada, Lahj, Bayda, Abyan, Shabwa, Marib, Hadramout and Mahra plateaus.
The center pointed to the possibility of strong winds blowing around the Socotra archipelago, with a speed ranging between 20-40 knots, and moderate to active on the southern and eastern coasts and the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, reaching it speed between 10-23 knots.
The Meteorological Center warned citizens against being in the valleys and passages of torrential rains, and the decrease in the horizontal visibility during the rains.
