Protesters block roads in Mukalla

HADRAMOUT, Aug 28 (YPA) – The city of Mukalla in Hadramout governorate, on Sunday witnessed angry popular protests against total power outage and water.

During the angry protests, citizens  burned tires and blocked the main roads in “Ad Dis” district, which connect the various districts of Mukalla to each other.

Citizens reported that the electricity service was almost completely out of work in one of the largest directorates of the city of Mukalla.

Since Sunday evening until now, the electricity service in the  district  has been witnessing frequent outages, semi-exit and suspension of service, according to the citizens.

They denounced the power outages, which coincides with extreme heat in the city.
