Fragment of Prigozhin’s plane found two kilometers from crash site

WORLD, Aug 24 (YPA) – One of the fragments of the plane that crashed in the Tver region, on which Yevgeny Prigozhin flew, lies at the entrance to the village of Kuzhenkino, about two kilometers from the crash site, RIA Novosti reported.

The police cordoned off the place of the fall of the wreckage, next to it there are several cars of special services, some with flashing lights on. The police stop passing cars and ask about the purpose of the trip.

The entrance to the village of Kuzhenkino, which is located three kilometers from the urban-type settlement of the same name, has also been blocked.

Russia’s civil aviation authority reported on Wednesday evening that there were ten people on board the doomed plane, including three crew members, noting that all of them were killed.

The Authority confirmed the presence of Prigozhin and the second-in-command of the Wagner Group, Dmitry Utkin, on board.

Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency has opened an investigation into the crash.

Moreover, Russia’s Investigative Committee, has opened a criminal investigation into the crash.
