Unknown gunmen demolish most important religious shrines in Lahj

LAHJ, Aug. 23 (YPA) – Unknown gunmen demolished, on Wednesday, the shrine of a Sufi scholar in Yemen in Mudaraba and Ras al-Ara district, west of Lahj province (southwest Yemen).

Activists from Lahj reported, on social media platforms, that armed men believed to belong to terrorist and extremist organizations who were brought to fronts of the west coast, to excavate and demolish the dome and mausoleum of the Allama Ali bin Ibrahim al-Sururi “Abu Al-Asrar”, in Turbat Al-Asrar area in the west of the province.
