Islah militants raid marginalized family’s house in Taiz

TAIZ, Aug 21 (YPA) – An armed group, wearing civilian clothes affiliated with Security of Taiz province, which is under the control of the Islah Party militants, raided on Sunday a home of a marginalized family and detained a woman in a residential neighborhood in Al-Mudhaffar district

Local sources reported that the gunmen stormed the house of Ghania Abdul Ghani Qassem, beaten her and expelled her and her nieces from the house in Al-Baarara area – Al-Mudhaffar District.

The head of the National Union for Development of the poorest groups “marginalized” in Yemen, Nu’man Al-Hudhaifi, confirmed that the gunmen raided the house, assaulted with severe beatings, expelled her from the house and detained her in the directorate’s security department without any legal justification.

Al-Hudhaifi condemned the attack and arrest of the black citizen “Ghania Qassem”.

He described the attack as behavior that expresses racial discrimination, class hatred based on racism.

Nu’man called on the governor of Taiz loyal to Saudi-led coalition, and Taiz security department to punish the perpetrators and immediate release  of the citizen

Al-Hudhaifi held pro-coalition authorities responsible, calling for an end to these discriminatory and illegal practices.
