SHABWA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Hundreds of irate locals took part in a big popular rally on Saturday in Nessab district, Shabwa province, southern Yemen, denouncing power outages and degradation of public services.
The demonstrators denounced the corruption of the “government” loyal to the Saudi-led coalition in the oil and gas-rich province, in light of the ongoing worsening of living circumstances and price increases.
This corresponds with similar protests in Aden in response to power cuts and degradation of public services.
