Al-Houthi comments on worsening conflict between Saudi Arabia, UAE

SANAA, Aug 19 (YPA) – Member of the Political Council in Sanaa, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, confirmed that the conflict between Saudi Arabia and the UAE are worsening, despite  of their military alliance in Yemen nearly nine years ago.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said in a tweet on his X account, that “the UAE believed itself as a “Peer”  to Saudi Arabia during its alliance with it against Yemen.

He added, However, you can’t always get what you want. This is what Saudi Arabia does not accept neither in leadership nor in status, even if the UAE has international relations. Qatar could not do it with these relations …. – It does not mean that the UAE’s  size as the Kingdom.”

“Saudi Arabia’s mouthpiece with its differences with the UAE, as it says, We gave you the way militarily in Yemen, so do not cross the line of your capabilities,” he said

Al-Houthi concluded by saying, “This is their reality, not reaping or bidding.”

It is noteworthy that the relationship between the UAE and Saudi Arabia has been deteriorating over the past months, as  visits between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati President Mohammed bin Zayed completely suspended.

According to Western reports, the almost complete rupture between the two men is mainly due to competition for leadership and influence in the region.
