ADEN, Aug 19 (YPA) – US military forces arrived in Yemen’s southern port city of Aden on Friday, said Muhammad al-Nu’mani, the official spokesman for the southern revolutionary movement.
Al-Nu’mani wrote in a post on his X account, confirming the arrival of US forces to Aden province under the pretext of protecting foreign interests from armed militias, extremist Islamic groups and the expansion of al-Qaeda’s activities in the province.
Aden province is currently experiencing a state of lawlessness, chaos, infighting among the Saudi-led coalition’s armed factions and well as murders, assassinations, and suicides, amid widespread of weapons and murder tools of all kinds, al-Nu’mani explained.
It is worth noting that the US forces presence in Aden was not the first and will not be the last, as they had previously been present in the port of Aden on March 22, 2019.
Earlier in July, 2021, about 300 US officers and soldiers arrived in Aden, reinforced by 12 Black Hawk planes and 30 “Harvey” armored vehicles, in addition to four Patriot air defense systems and an integrated field operations room.
