People of Mahra, Socotra affirm that they will not succumb to services war

MAHRA, Aug 12 (YPA) – The General Council for the People of Mahra and Socotra said on Saturday, that Mahra is facing a war targeting services as part of foreign kneeling policy  after suspending and reducing commercial activities at the ports, in reference to the practices pursued by the Saudi-led  coalition in Mahra, Socotra and other southern governorates.

During a meeting chaired by Mohammed Abdullah Al Afrar, the head of the council, discussed  the latest developments in Mahra province.

The council denounced the inability of the local authority affiliated with the coalition to address the problem of services.

The people of Mahra and Socotra provinces held the so-called “Presidential Leadership Council” responsible for the economic situation and the deterioration of services, which negative impact on the citizens.

The meeting affirmed that “the people of Mahra and Socotra will not compromise the Yemeni sovereignty, and they will defend  and preserve  security and stability of Yemen and improve the living conditions  of citizens.”
