518 members of STC militia killed, wounded in Abyan attacks

ADEN, Aug 12 (YPA) – About 518 members of the UAE-backed Transitional Council (STC) factions have been killed and injured since the announcement of the so-called “Arms of the East” Operation in 2022 in Abyan province, south of Yemen.

The operation made a loss of nearly 11 billion riyals, in addition to the losses of the equipment and weapons belonging to the STC reached more than one billion riyals due to the explosive devices in Mudiyah district, according to a report published by the head of the “Head of the Center and the website” Hana Aden for Strategic Studies, Anis Mansour on Twitter.

Mansour said, “Since the operation was announced, they have not killed or wounded an al-Qaeda terrorist in Wadi Omran or al-Mahfad district of Abyan, or captured any of them.”

He pointed out that the only beneficiary of “the battle is the UAE, and the loser is the STC militias.”

“We did not hear deaths from ambushes and improvised explosive devices, in light of the abject failure and human attrition,” Mansour added, indicating that the strategy of fighting al-Qaeda is not confrontations, as it is gangs.
