SYRIA, Aug 09 (YPA) – Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad accused on Wednesday Turkey of creating terrorist movements in Syria.
Al-Assad indicated that he will not sit with President of the Turkish regime, Recep Erdoğan, under the Ankara’s conditions.
He said, in an interview with Sky News Arabia, that Erdoğan’s goal aims to legitimize the Turkish occupation in Syria, considering that the most important challenge facing the return of Syrian refugees is the infrastructure destroyed by terrorism.
This came in light of media reports confirming the existence of obstacles that impede the path of normalization of relations between the Turkish regime and the Syrian government, the most prominent of which is Damascus’ requirement to end the Turkish occupation of Syrian lands in order to complete the path of normalization, which Ankara rejects.
